Hundreds of Monte NYSNA nurses delivered strike notice this morning. Chanting "safe staffing" and "fair contract now," nurses assembled to hand the 10-day notice to management at both Weiler and Moses simultaneously. So many nurses came to the strike notice delivery that not all of us could fit in the hospital hallways.  Nurses took this action in response to management's failure to bargain meaningfully on NYSNA's priorities. The strike will begin January 12 at 7a. NYSNA is ready to negotiate every day in an effort to reach an agreement that stands up for the patients, nurses, and community of the Bronx.
