This meeting is from our staffing enforcement process (3.08 Staffing).

Meeting with management 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
“The Staffing Committee will meet monthly, on a mutually agreed to date and time, and on an ad hoc basis if necessary. The Committee will consist of four (4) NYSNA members chosen by NYSNA, paid at the straight-time rate (or released from work), and management, as well as a NYSNA rep or reps. If the union requires one or more of the affected nurses to testify or provide information, they will be paid or released as above.
The Committee will be charged to review the occurrence data and determine if a violation occurred, based on the evidence submitted. If the Committee agrees, both that a violation has occurred and what the remedy should be, based upon the list in this section, that decision will be binding.”

Nurses are excited to get back to their patients, and now the hard work of enforcing the contracts begins.
Contract Ratified!
After the tireless energy we put into our picket line, and a series of escalating actions that captured the city's attention and brought the fight to the bosses in brand-new ways, we have finally made it to the finish line.
The Montefiore Ratification Vote closed at 5 p.m.

Tentative Agreement Reached!
We have reached a tentative agreement!
After 28 days of being on strike, countless actions, and a tremendous display of solidarity from NYSNA members - our strike has resulted in numerous improvements to our contract. We went out on strike for the following: staffing, space, and safety. And we achieved agreements on all fronts.
