This is the state-mandated staffing committee.

We meet with management virtually from 11am - 1pm. (Yes, this time it’s a two hour meeting)

Management meets with 1199 and NYSNA to create the required hospital staffing plans that should be posted on your unit. A new grid is required to be submitted by July so we are meeting twice a month to complete the grid.

We voice our suggestions to try to improve staffing numbers on the grid but management doesn’t have to adopt the numbers (aside from contractual ratios) in the final grid.
