February 19, 2026 Payroll Issues
There have been MANY payroll issues since we returned post-strike. There were also many payroll issues before we were out on strike.. We know this is horribly frustrating.
We have communicated with management and will continue to communicate with management to try to expedite these most recent payroll issues. In the meantime, we have some basic guidance. There are generally two sets of instructions to follow.
For all pay and PTO discrepancies please email concerns to your timekeeper and/or manager (whoever you typically communicate with), and CC your NYSNA representative. Per Monte’s instructions, an adjustment form is necessary for placing the ticket - something that the timekeepers/managers do. What the timekeepers/managers SHOULD do is then communicate to you what the HR ticket # is. That # would be what you need to follow up on an issue.
Specific examples in this scenario:
missing pay for half my worked hours
missing pay for plotted and approved vacation time
missing pay for a scheduled shift that should have been paid for by sick time
If you have an issue with TIME in your banks, then you are able to place a payroll ticket in. We’ve been told that it triggers an audit of your various accruals.
Examples in this scenario:
I had a plotted holiday during the first week of the strike and the hours were deducted without payment
I had a vacation week during the strike that was not paid
If your situation is different than the ones listed above and you submitted a HR payroll ticket, please send an email with the ticket and brief description to Jorge.Maldonado@nysna.org

You can also file a complaint with the department of labor over pay. https://WWW.dol.gov/agencies/whd/contact/complaints
BTW - Go see if you can certify for unemployment last week if you didn’t get paid for your PTO..
We have filed a grievance related to Montefiore’s inability to pay nurses correctly. We continue to collect information from people who have had pay discrepancies, so these will be added to list
